American Idol picks top 13 finalists

American Idol has chosen its top 13 finalists. Originally, it was going to be a "Top 12," but the judges announced they were going to make it 13 instead.

The three wild-card finalists were Jasmine Murray, Megan Corkrey and Matt Giraud — with Anoop Desai filling the previously unannounced 13th spot.

Other finalists include: Kris Allen, Danny Gokey, Alexis Grace, Allison Iraheta, Adam Lambert, Scott MacIntyre, Jorge Nunez, Lil Rounds and Michael Sarver.

Starting next Tuesday, the singers will compete with one singer leaving each Wednesday.
